WIN – What Women Need
The project “WIN”- “What Women Need”, is based on the fusion between sport and social inclusion. The aim of the project is to combat social isolation of women and gender violence, two problems aggravated by the pandemic crisis.
It involves 4 partners from Italy, Croatia, Spain with experiences in sports, social and environmental fields.
The project, supported by sport clubs, social services and third sector entities addresses problems in a systemic way, working in synergy with women, with families and with the context in which
they live.

Specific Objectives

Emancipation
Promote female empowerment to create a solid social network

No Violence
Promote relationships, eliminate domestic violence against women and disabled women

Awareness
Increase women's level of awareness, take better care of themselves and reduce the household burden

Healt
Reduce women's sedentary lifestyle, thus reducing health risks

Sports
Bring women closer to the world of sport, involve them in sports associations and promote work and economic opportunities.
WIN – What women need
The project results will influence at local level, more gender equality, cohesion between women and sharing European values among residents.
Sport is an exceptional tool to pursue good physical and mental health; “WIN- Wath Women Need” also acts as a factor of aggregation between people, building meaningful relationships and avoiding loneliness and social distress.

The project includes

Sports activities
Sports activities for women, family members and citizens, with the aim of acquiring healthy lifestyles and raising awareness of the role of women.

Web APP
An international online platform to give continuity to actions over time and to aggregate and involve the target women of the project by providing information content.

Testimonies
Testimonies of women who managed to change the fate of their lives. Women not like victims, but as an active and authoritative European citizen.
The project is aimed at women aged 5 to 99 who are in the following conditions:

Social isolation

With sedentary lifestyle

Within the dynamics of threats, abuse, physical and psychological violence

Inserted in closed family and territorial contexts and with a stereotypical culture

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
Female Empowerment
Promote female empowerment in order to create a strong social network that can encourage relations and combating social isolation.
Counter violence
Promoting relationships to combat domestic violence against women and women with disabilities.
Awareness
Increase the level of awareness in women, to encourage greater self-care and reduce care and household costs.
For health
Decrease female sedentary behaviour thus reducing health risks
World of sports
Bring women closer to the world of sport, involve them in sports associations and promote employment and economic opportunities
